Day 8 Chemo, all is going fine...

Ryan got his second dose of 2 more Chemo drugs today.  We will have this 'cocktail' two more times during this phase (so, two more weeks).  His numbers were so good this morning, the doctors were okay with him leaving the room, and experiencing the fresh air and sunshine!  He really enjoyed the roof-top terrace, playing with the moss and walking around... He's been confined to his room for the last two weeks, so walking around is kind of a big deal.

After their walk, Ryan was a little bit tired, so he took a nap and Patrick went to run errands.  He got some laundry done at the apartment, and was surprised with a big package from our doctors and nurses at Benefis Pediatric in Great Falls (Trista and Sara).  Legos and comic books and a big fuzzy blanket!  The boy is getting so spoiled... thank you all!  I wish I could be there to see his face!

So, we are still in a holding pattern, waiting to see if his body does anything odd or strange... like NOT having any side effects to the poison they are using to kill off the cancer.  We are not expecting any talk about discharge until next week, but we are nagging just the same.  The nurses and doctors have been awesome, but now that he's tasted freedom, it's going to be harder to keep him down.  ;)

Thank you all for the prayers and good thoughts... they are obviously working miracles!

Enjoying the sunshine!
Playing with the moss.
