Day 26 - Boy, do we like freedom...
Our first day at home was awesome. We woke up late (around 9-10am). I made breakfast (so much cheaper than eating in the cafeteria). Patrick worked while Ryan and I just kinda hung out. I know, just like in the hospital, but this was so much better... :)
We are still weaning off the dilauded, but we are following the taper schedule, and Ryan seems to be handling it really well. He had a few moments of nausea, but we have 3 different options to help that (Zofran, Simethicone and Reglan with Benadryl)... We have them spaced out, so it seem that every time he feels nauseous, we have something we can give him. I even talked him into eating breakfast and lunch with us (which he kept down, woo hoo!)
In the middle of the day, we took a walk up and down the street, which was all types of awesome. It wasn't too hot, and it was great to see him with the energy and the strength to walk. On the way back home, he started getting tired, but it wasn't too bad and he did great. When we went home a few weeks ago, he was so weak that he could barely get out of bed. This time, he seems so much stronger!
Ryan was hesitant to go to the movies today, but he said he wanted to see Transformers tomorrow (I've heard it will suck, but I'm sure he'll enjoy it!) I also made it to the grocery store and made dinner, which, again, was so much cheaper than cafeteria food!
Thank you all for the continued prayers and good thoughts!!
