Day 94 - Doing better

The doctors were thinking about discharging us today, but we were concerned that as soon as they turned off the IV meds, he would start throwing up again.  So, we asked if we could change to the sub-lingual (dissolve under the tongue) and keep an eye on him for 24 more hours, which they agreed to.  (I think they wanted the room, as the hospital is pretty full, but were more than happy to accommodate us).
No more pictures,
I'm watching the movie, dad!

It seems that this is working fine, as he hasn't thrown up all day, so we both feel much more confident going home tomorrow.  His ANC is still dropping (down to 600's today), and the doctors are thinking of giving GCSF tomorrow to help boost it back up.  Ryan is feeling good, but a little groggy from the meds.  Once he gets home, and feels better, we can start weaning him off the Benadryl and Ativan...

The boys did the 'movie night' with popcorn and Bugs Life (the first one), until Ryan got tired and asked if he could go to sleep.  He was so happy to snuggle in his bed and rest.  He has really enjoyed this 'visit' to the hospital, and he feels so much better.

The nurses also changed the bandage on his belly today, which looks much better.  They are putting an antibiotic (like Neosporin) on the wound to help it heal better.  He's always intrigued to watch them work on his belly...

I think the plan is more chemo tomorrow, but I might be wrong and it might be later this week.  I'm still planning on driving out with my mom on Tuesday or Wednesday, and I can't wait to see my boys!

Thank you all for the prayers and good thoughts.
