Day 111 - Platelets are still low, but hanging in there

Look, I ate all my dinner!
We got labs today, to see how the platelets are doing.  The doctors would like them over 75 to give him the next round of Chemo.  They were 55 about 10 days ago, and then down to 31 this past Monday.  They were 34 today, which pretty much means nothing.  They didn't need to do a transfusion, which is good, but they are still very low, which is bad.  In addition, his ANC has dropped a little further (it was 930 on Monday, and down to about 730 today).  The docs also want the ANC above 750 to give the next round of chemo.  So, we are just waiting, until those numbers come back to normal.

In addition, a low ANC means that we are not going out in public, as he is not able to fight off normal bugs as well.  So, we got back from clinic and hung out at the apartment.  We'll probably do the same tomorrow (maybe a quick walk around the block, but no crowded places).  We are scheduled for PT and OT on Friday, so we might get labs again, just to see how things are going.  It would also give us an idea if he's up to a movie or going out this weekend, or if it's safer to keep him home.

He still seems to be feeling fine, eating well and isn't complaining about any pain (which is all good!)  I'm a little concerned about his low numbers, but the doctors don't seem all that worried so I'm just going to go with it.

Thank you all for the continued prayers and good thoughts!
