Day 113 - PT and OT
We had a fun day today with Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy.
For PT, we stretched, worked on stairs, ankle strength and balance. Then we got to have some fun. We rode the stationary bike for about 10 minutes, and then played Basketball. He did great! I think we might have to get a basketball hoop for the apartment, so he can continue to have fun at home.
Next, we went to OT, where we colored and played with those spirographs that I remember from my childhood. He loved the patterns that they made and wanted to keep going. The therapist was a little concerned about his 'pinching' function, as he doesn't seem to want to use the pads of his thumb and forefinger (he kinda uses the side of the finger), so we got a few exercises to use with him. But it was fun and he did great.
We headed over for Chicago Style pizza and a trip to the Microsoft Store (we decided to pick up rechargable batteries for the Xbox, as he is running through them like crazy) and he loved playing with the new XBox games.
We decided against getting labs today, so we won't know until Monday how his platelets and ANC are doing. But, he looks great and feels great, so I'm taking that as a good sign.
Thank you all for the continued prayers and good thoughts!
