Day 118 - The Computer Museum

Since all 4 kids were out in Seattle, Patrick took them to the Computer Museum Living Computers.  They figured it would be a lot of walking, so they brought Ryan's chair so he wouldn't get tired.  One of the curators heard Grandpa reminding Ryan not to touch anything (explaining that Ryan had cancer and didn't want to get any germs), and she was kind enough to go with them, wiping anything he wanted to touch with 'hospital grade' wipes, so he could have the full experience!  How nice was that?

They all seemed to enjoy the museum, although I think Allen and Patrick had the most fun!  However, being in Seattle, there was a Mariners game tonight, so traffic was horrible.  They decided to do the 'tour' of Seattle and take the 'side streets' back to the apartment, which probably took about 3 times as long, but was kinda fun in a way!

Patrick is considering the Museum of Flight tomorrow, if everyone is feeling up to it.

As for me, I got to visit with my friends in Stanford for the 'Back to School' BBQ for the staff and teachers.  It was great to see everyone!  I also was very humbled to receive a generous donation from the Calvary Community Church in Stanford... Thank you all so much!

We are so blessed to have your prayers and good thoughts and support!!

  1. LUV the pictures of everyone, glad they are having such a great time. That is fantastic about the gal going with them in the computer museum and sanitizing things for Ryan to touch :) :) I bet he is getting tired, just having everyone there besides all the going and doing, but what a fun time and so many memories. I am sure taking the chair helped him. And you are back at work, but when you enjoy your job, it isn't so much work! Glad everyone in school appreciates you, well deserved. Prayers for Ryan and safe travels for your family. LUV U all
