Day 182 - Out with the boys
Patrick woke up early and made me a pumpkin pie... Strange, I know. He had some leftover 'mix' from this weekend, that he was saving until I got here. Then, I think his sleep schedule is completely off because he NEVER wakes up at 6:20 am by choice. Anyway, I woke up around 7:30 to the wonderful smell of pumpkin pie from the oven (about 2 1/2 feet away from my nose... it's a small apartment).
After breakfast of omelets and pumpkin pie, we spent most of the morning talking, including a random conversation with Allen on the meaning of life... Once Ryan got up and moving, we headed over to the grocery store, as Patrick hadn't thought about food much, past making me a pie. Then we had a great lunch at a Greek restaurant, which was soooo good. I think I could live in Tzatziki sauce and pitas...
When we got home, we had a wonderful package from the Power School (in Montana). A classroom of students decided to make a 'care package' for Ryan, complete with Legos and Halloween Candy! He was so excited! (they even included a little something for Patrick and I) Thank you so much Mrs. Burgmaier, Deklin, Jaxson, Trent, Sidney and Violet! :)
Thank you all for the continued prayers and good thoughts!!

I'm so glad Ryan received his care package! The items purchased for his package were purchased with money raised by our entire school. We sent a total of 6 care packages to different kids! (I"m so proud of them) The 5th grade class just happened to be the group to assemble Ryan's. They really seemed to connect to Ryan through reading your blog. We are so thankful you are able to be in Seattle during the long weekend. Enjoy your time!
