Day 187 - Transplant Clinic

The boys headed back to the hospital today for transplant clinic.  The doctors were a little concerned that his 'liver numbers' were a little higher than they had been.  Of course, he's had chemo for the last few weeks without a break, so they are not surprised.  However, they've scheduled him for a liver ultrasound, to check 'just in case' there are any problems.  Obviously, in the back of our mind is that we have to remember that he has a transplant and it could go into rejection.  But, we are just keeping our fingers crossed.  The doctors also commented that he looked fabulous, so they don't think there is a problem... just being safe.

Tomorrow, we get to get labs and see if we can continue on schedule with our chemo.  If his ANC or platelets are too low, we will take a week break.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

After clinic, the boys headed over to the Halloween store to get stuff for Ryan's costume.  Apparently, the ultrasound is scheduled for next Tuesday, Halloween, so I'm wondering if Ryan will dress up for the ultrasound, or if they will do the costume thing afterwards.  The University Village shopping center has a 'trick or treat' thing, so Ryan can go around there to go trick or treating.  Neither he or Patrick is really interested in doing the trick or treating around the apartment, so this might be a good option.  We'll see how they are doing as it gets closer.

Thank you all for the continued prayers and good thoughts!!
