Day 222 - Clinic, Spinal Tap, Chemo... oh my!
Busy day for the boys, which was hampered by Patrick's realization that he may have come down with a cold... I guess it was not all that unexpected, as he spent the week around people (for the first time in a while). Ryan, on the other hand, seems to be just fine.
Since Ryan's platelets and ANC are up, he was able to get his next dose of chemo today. Doctors are really happy that he was able to come home for the week, and appears to have only good results (no viruses or bugs... knock on wood!) The anesthesiologists were able to do his spinal tap without knocking him out, so it went much faster... and they had no problems finding the right spot (always a good thing!).
Patrick was able to get to the pharmacy and get Nyquil and other meds to help him rest until this cough, sore throat, ache-y feeling goes away. Next chemo isn't until Friday, so they have some time to rest. Just grateful that Ryan is still feeling great!
Thank you all for the continued prayers and good thoughts!!

Darn it, traveling always seems to expose you to all kinds of things, praying that Ryan won't get it too. So glad they could continue with the chemo and that it all went well. Now to rest for a few days and continue with this program.
