Day 227 - A little sunshine

Patrick was so excited to see the sun this afternoon, that he and Ryan jumped in the elevator and raced to the roof... for about 5 minutes... before the clouds took over and it started raining again.  But, in those 5 minutes, they got a few pictures, just to prove to me that it doesn't ALWAYS rain in Seattle.  :)

Apparently, both boys are feeling better... Still a little cough and a little sniffle, but better than a few days ago.  They are scheduled for an early clinic and chemo visit tomorrow.  Apparently, in this phase of chemo, they won't stop due to low counts, so they are scheduled to go ahead regardless of his labs.

However, Patrick said that Ryan got a bloody nose this afternoon, and it stopped quickly, which is generally a good sign of his platelets being normal (if they were still low, the bleeding wouldn't stop).  It's funny all these silly little medical things that we have learned!

Thank you all for the continued prayers and good thoughts!!

  1. so glad they are feeling better, and the sun did shine in Seattle, not much in Raynesford :(
I think you could write a book on a lot of medical knowledge you have gained from Ryan's life!! So glad he is on track with his chemo. Praying for it to continue on a steady run. LUV U all
