Day 242 - Fungal infection
And, as Ryan would have it, he apparently has a mild fungal infection in his sinus cavity (nose) and his lungs. They are not overly concerned about it, especially since it doesn't seem to be causing too much trouble. They've added 2 more anti-fungal medications that should totally take care of the problem.
In addition, with the ultrasound, they couldn't really find the blood clot that we've been treating. It seems to be totally gone, which would be awesome. The only somewhat negative thing is that since the medication seems to be working so well, they want to keep him inpatient on the drip medication for the next 4 weeks, until this round of chemo is finished. Not that we planned on going anywhere anyway.
Ryan was feeling much better today, playing with his Lego's and watching movies. He also seems to be on daddy's schedule... staying up all night and sleeping all day. Fortunately, that's not a problem! The nurses think it's hysterical!
Thank you all for the continued prayers and good thoughts!
