Day 245 - Still going well!
Things are still going great in Seattle. While he is feeling good, we need to keep him on the IV drip for the blood clot, so we are not getting discharged any time soon. But, Ryan being Ryan, he is happy as a clam. We love our nurses, who spoil him rotten. And, of course, he has his Xbox and his Surface, and the Lego sets provided by the hospital Child Life program. We are so lucky!
Patrick was able to spend most of the day at the apartment working, but still made it by for rounds this morning and then movies this evening. We are going to talk to the doctors about trying to get him up and moving a little more. Since he's been attached to the IV, it's kind of hard to get up and walk (and of course it's easier to just lay in bed and be lazy). But that's not the best for him... so, we're going to try to see if we can walk around a little, just up and down the halls... Of course, we are always weighing the risk of further infection, but since he's doing so great, it doesn't hurt to ask!
Kathryn and I leave on Saturday night and get in Sunday, so we can't wait!
Thank you all for the continued prayers and good thoughts!

good news that there is nothing exciting happening to your family in Seattle!!!!!!
ReplyDeletePraying for continued "dull" happenings. I do supposed walking would be good, one would tend to get weak just laying in bed--I wouldn't know :(
Great to see your smiling face yesterday :)
