Day 250 - Post-Christmas Legos
All is still going great here in Seattle. Ryan is really enjoying his new Legos. We spent a few hours working on his 'art project' this morning, finishing up the Star Wars Y-Wing Fighter (I didn't know there was a Y-wing?), and moving on to Poe's X-wing fighter. He's having so much fun!
We watched movies and played with legos this morning, until he decided he wanted to take a nap. The doctors said that things are going well and will stick with the current plan. His belly has almost totally healed up (so grateful that it didn't end up rupturing!), and it seems the clot is smaller. That being said, we are keeping him on the IV blood clot buster for another week. We have another ultrasound scheduled for early next week, and we are hoping that the blood clot is gone enough to get off the continuous drip and on to a different medication. Of course, as long as we are still dealing with the chemo, we might stay in-patient a bit longer, just to be careful. The last thing we want to deal with is a random blood clot.. those things can cause trouble.
After playing with Ryan, Patrick, Kathryn and I headed out to the movies to see Jumanji. It was great (totally recommend it) and Patrick promised that he would take Ryan once he's out of the hospital. I'm glad Patrick and Kathryn and I are able to have fun and spend some good quality time together. We even got to play at the book store for an hour or two!
Thank you all for the continued prayers and good thoughts!
