Day 257 - Where did the clot go?
Ryan is pretty amazing. We did the repeat ultrasound this week, and the radiologists would be shocked, if it wasn't Ryan. They reported that the original clot (that we think was causing the swelling, and that we are on the IV drip of blood thinners to remove) is all gone... like, gone. They can't find it. Or either of the other two calcified clots. This blood thinner IV is strong stuff, but they are still shocked that the clots would be just gone in a few weeks. Amazing.
So, now we need to re-discuss the plan. We have a scheduled time to talk with his team on Thursday, to figure out what to do about the chemo and the chance of clots and other stuff. They might even consider letting us go home (off the drip)... depending on what we want to do about the nasty chemo drug. (we were expecting to stay inpatient for at least the next month, but that might only be a week or two?)
In the mean time, it seems that the drop in his ANC has stabilized around 160, but hasn't dropped any further. Which means we can hope that it will start going back up in the next few days. As soon as it's over 750, we can get back on schedule.
And, perhaps most importantly, Patrick spent a good period of time teaching Ryan how to answer phone calls on his phone, and merge them with secondary phone calls, and even how to send a selfie to me! All in all, a pretty good day!!
Thank you all for the continued prayers and good thoughts!

YUP, Ryan does do things on his own time, and only "normal" to him :) Glad that is over though. Now to get back on schedule, but would be nice to be able to go back to the apartment! Prayers for everyone and LUV U all
