Day 261 - Loving the Legos

Getting better at taking selfies!
Ryan spent most of the day on his 'art project', his code word for Legos.  Patrick has reminded him that he can't have any new legos until he finishes his current project, which is a huge 1500 piece set.  He is also trying to get back on a 'normal' schedule.  No late night phone calls last night (thank you!) but we did chat for about 2 hours this afternoon.  When I say 'chat', I mean that we are both on the phone, doing something, and just randomly talking occasionally.  But that's okay, since that is exactly what we would have been doing if he was home!

ANC was a little higher today (537), which means it's going in the right direction.  There is a chance that his numbers are high enough tonight to do his chemo tomorrow, but no promises.  We might wait until Monday, just to be safe.

We also learned a valuable lesson today... If you let your chap-stick fall on the floor, and then fall asleep, the very efficient cleaning staff will sweep up your chap-stick and throw it in the garbage (as it's now bad because it's been on the floor)... Oh, and they will also toss any legos on the floor.  Moral of the story... don't drop things on the floor of a hospital room that you have any desire to keep.

Taking Allen back to college tomorrow... sniff... sniff... I will totally miss our 3 hour philosophy discussions!

Thank you all for the continued prayers and good thoughts!

  1. wow, hadn't thought of that, on the floor now has germs! Does he have a big table or something to do his projects on? Must have as the bed wouldn't be level enough? so if he is missing a piece of lego can the project go on??
Count is going up, yah! prayers that it continues that way :)
Good to see Allen again and to hear him sing!!
    LUV U all
