Day 283 - More chemo...

Ryan was a bit tired today after his chemo dose.  While both his ANC and platelets are still down, the doctors went ahead with this dose.  I think they are happy that he is in-patient and willing to be a bit more aggressive.  He got two different chemo drugs today (PEG and vincristine), but I don't think he gets anything else for the rest of the week.  He should get another dose in about a week, and then we are done with this phase.

Once we are done with this phase, we will wait until he 'recovers' and then start the final phase.  Each phase should be about 2 months, but with Ryan, it seems as though phases are taking about 3 months.  So, hopefully, this last phase will go by in about 3 months and we can talk about moving on to the maintenance, which means the boys might someday get to come home!

Thank you all for the continued prayers and good thoughts!

  1. that is great that he got to finish this phase of his treatment. I hope this last one is on schedule of 2 months not Ryan's schedule of 3 months!!! and we get to see their smiling faces in Raynesford, Montana :)
