Day 296 - Causing trouble again...

So, Patrick called me this morning and let me know that Ryan's belly was open again and it was oozing ucky stuff...  He was also complaining about pain on his side.  So, the doctored ordered an emergency CT scan, to see what was going on with his body.  He only got down about 1/2 of the contrast before the pain on his side got so bad that he threw up.  But, after that, he seemed to feel better.

Patrick came in and put the Thera-honey on his belly and covered it with gauze.  About an hour later, the hole stopped oozing.  And, after throwing up, Ryan said his side didn't hurt anymore.  They still went ahead with the CT scan, but somehow, it looked fine.  And, since all the clinical symptoms had gone away, we just went with it...

Ryan did call tonight to get his bedtime story, and he said he was feeling good.  I guess he just had too many 'good' days and needed to throw a wrench in the mix.  On the good side, his ANC is up to about 7000, which is insanely high (not bad, just surprising), so they've stopped the GCSF (which was supposed to bring it up to 1000.. good call).

On the Montana side, THANK YOU so much to Wyatt Woodhall, who came and brought me propane on this beautiful Saturday morning... 15 degrees below 0, without heat, kinda sucks.  We did have electric heaters, so none of us froze (can't say the same about my pipes).  But it will be nice to have a nice warm house and be able to sleep without my head under the covers tonight... And yes, the pipes unfroze, so we have water again and I'm pretty sure nothing burst.  Now, if I could only get rid of the sniffling/sneezing thing...

Thank you all for the continued prayers and good thoughts!

  1. you know Ryan can't just let things go along too smoothly for very long :) gotta love that kid, but seriously so glad he is feeling better and wow 7000 that is really high, yes, probably time to come off that drug. Prayers that he has had enough excitement for a while :)
You are either going to have to check your propane tank more often of just have it on auto refill, that is not good to have no heat at -15 , or any winter temp.
    LUV U all
