Day 298 - Visit from ENT

So, the ENT (ear, nose and throat) doctors came in today and did a quick scope of his nose.  It looks like there is ucky stuff in his sinus cavity again, so they are going to do another quick "clean out" later this week, just in case.  They don't think it's really a big problem, but with Ryan, we can never be too careful.

His AT3 came up a bit more (to 68) so we probably have a few more days before it hits 75... but it's going in the right direction, so I'll be grateful.  They also added a few more calories to his IV solution, just to make sure that he keeps growing like he should.  I love that they can tailor his nutrition to make sure that he doesn't lose any weight during this time.

His belly is still doing okay.  Patrick said the skin is still broken down, but it's not leaking and it seems to be healing.  He's still putting the honey on it, so I'm sure it will be good in a few days... Love that honey!!

Thank you all for the continued prayers and good thoughts!

  1. I am just amazed at how that hospital is right on top of everything, so many great doctors there to serve what is needed!! He looks good, but he has never been overweight, so a few more calories would probably be good, does he get much exercise with being in the hospital all the time? Glad that his belly is not leaking--and "Love that honey" could mean both the medicine and the guy :) :)
