Day 302 - ENT sinus scrub went great

Excited for our anesthesia!!
Ryan had his ENT procedure today.  The doctors refer to it as 'surgery', but it was so mildly invasive that I had a hard time with that word.  The doctor went up his nose, and looked inside his sinus cavity.  He had a bit of dried blood (from the last procedure) on one side, but they rinsed it all out.  The other side looked great and the doctor said the whole thing went great.

Of course, for Ryan, it was all about the Anesthesia.  He was so excited that when we woke up this morning, the first thing he asked about was his 'sleep medicine'.  He loves it.  We asked what he liked so much about it, and he said he liked falling asleep.  It's been years since I've had anesthesia (I had my tonsils out about 15 years ago), but I don't remember it being that awesome.  Oh well... silly boy...

He got started on a new Lego project today, which was great.  And we had a bit of a battle of wills, but I totally won.  He was shocked that I wouldn't automatically give him anything he wanted... I thought it was funny that he thought I would.

We also got to talk to the oncologist today about the rest of the treatment.  She is pretty happy with his current numbers and we are on track to start the last phase early next week.  (yea!!)

Thank you all for the continued prayers and good thoughts!

  1. so glad the "procedure" went well. Darn, MOM, you wouldn't give in to your baby !! and he thought you would, doesn't he remember you :) :) If he likes falling asleep so much why does he stay up all night sometimes? I know, his dad's genes!
Prayers that he does get back to the rest of the treatments soon
    LUV U all
