Day 322 - Doing good

The oncologist decided today (with input from infectious disease) that we really don't want a nasty anti-fungal medication for 9 months without confirmation... so, they are going to go in with interventional radiology and get a biopsy of the 'shadow' on/in his liver.  They want to confirm that it is a fungal infection.  For most people, the 9 month treatment is less invasive and 'risky' than the biopsy.  But, this is Ryan.  Anything that is going to affect his liver is risky, so we'd rather do the procedure.

After his big day yesterday, he had a nice calm day today.  He watched his YouTube and movies and just chilled.   Patrick was working most of the day, so he didn't get a chance to head over until late this evening.  No worries, dad... I'm good.

Thank you all for the continued prayers and good thoughts!

  1. everyone is learning - do it Ryan's way!! He has a LOT of different things for them to think about then most folks. Praying for a good report on the tests. It is so great that Patrick can work where ever he plugs in his computer so he can work from the apartment in Seattle :) And Ryan is getting independent and can handle things without dad being there, well unless he is sick, then he needs someone :)
