Day 326 - Back to the hospital

We headed back to the hospital today, in preparation for the lung biopsy tomorrow afternoon.  Ryan was fine with going back, especially after his relaxing weekend at home.  While there is always the possibility of complications, we are hoping to be discharged Wednesday or Thursday, if all goes well.

So, even though they knew that Ryan was coming in, they didn't have a normal room available for him.  This isn't exactly unusual; they can't really predict when people will need hospital rooms.  So, the only free room was the 'radiation' room.  The boys thought it was really funny.  The room is designed so that the nurses can do a lot of their job without spending too much time in the room.  They also have special doors, to keep the radiation away from the other patients.  I'm sure he will be moved after the biopsy tomorrow,  but until then, we find it a fun new experience.

Patrick said that Ryan was in good spirits.  He had his phone and his Surface, but we left the Xbox at home, as we don't expect him to be there very long.  And he always loves to see his nurses!

Thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts!
