Day 369 - Clinic with Transplant

The boys had clinic with the transplant team today.  We have only had official visits with transplant about every 3 months, but they have kept up with our case continually.  After all, Ryan was their patient first, and doctors can be very possessive about their patients (especially one's like Ryan).

Transplant said that everything looks good, but they are concerned about the damage from the chemo to Ryan's liver.  As his liver is a transplant, we are always a bit paranoid.  At the moment, they are not worried and his numbers look good.  But, if the numbers start to increase or if he starts to have any issues at all, they may want to have a better look (with CT or XRay or Ultrasound or some sort of imaging).  Until then, they are happy with his progress.

The boys are loving the sunshine and fresh air.  And Ryan is really enjoying his hair growing back... He'll be due for a haircut soon!  (okay, not for a while, but still...)

Thank you all for the continued prayers and good thoughts!

  1. so they are being optimistically cautious ? :) but like you said, that is doctors. So glad prayers are still being answered with Ryan's continued progress.
I had a friend that had lost her hair, one day she called another friend and mentioned that she had a hair cut--they thought "so what" then an hour later they thought Joyce needed a hair cut!!! so called her back and congratulated her!!!!
