Day 383 - Surprise!!
With Connor's graduation on Saturday, we thought we'd surprise him with a visitor! We got 'permission' from the doctors in Seattle to take a trip home to Montana this week... woo hoo!
As I write this, all 6 of us are under the same roof, which is kind of weird. Allen is home from college and Patrick and Ryan are home from Seattle. It's almost like a normal family.
To celebrate, we went over to the Geyser Elementary Spring Concert, so Ryan could see his friends. And I should have known that Ryan would have no problem jumping right up on stage to sing along with his friends! (Thank you so much Jaqlyn for letting him join... And thank you for choosing songs that he already knew! haha) He got to spend an hour with his friends, just running around and playing. It's been hard for him to be so secluded with only Patrick to talk to.
As fate would have it, we had to have a little hiccup with our plans. As Patrick stepped off the train in Shelby, he landed wrong on his leg and tore his calf muscle. He said there was a very audible 'pop' and the conductor even asked what it was. So, they made a quick stop over at Urgent Care, where Patrick is the proud new owner of a boot and a pair of crutches. He said it doesn't hurt too much as long as he doesn't put pressure on it or move it in the wrong way.
Since Patrick hurt his right leg, he also cannot drive... which will make going back to Seattle a bit difficult. We aren't making any plans now, but their 'week long' visit might last a bit longer. We obviously still have the apartment over there, but we might just take this week to transition our care back to Great Falls. It was going to happen sometime, so why not now? We'll see how things go in the next few days... But it's possible that we might be back for a while... Keeping our fingers crossed!
Thank you all for the continued prayers and good thoughts!!

WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW That is absolutely awesome :) :) I was wondering about Connor's graduation and part of the family over a few hundred miles away--last year for Allen's you had no choice. ALL of your family home at once is priceless. I am so happy for you. Sorry about Patrick's leg, darn it. Prayers for a quick recovery. That would be fantastic if the two guys could move back home for good!! I can't imagine how full your heart is today.
