Day 396 - Baseball in the backyard

We are getting into this 'normal' life thing...

I've started Ryan slowly with his homeschooling.  We worked on our math, our phonics, our reading and a little bit of writing.  All together, it was about an hour and a half, which seemed reasonable for our first week.  Afterwards, we had to go outside for 'PE'... We walked around the yard, did some running sprints and then finished out with some catch with the baseball.  I'm hoping that by working with him, I'll also get myself a bit of exercise!

Tomorrow will be a busy day... Patrick's surgery is scheduled for noon, and Ryan's chemo is scheduled for 1pm.  I'm bringing Grandma to stay with Patrick while I take Ryan over to the infusion center.  I'm not sure how the timing will work, but I have faith that we will get through it.  Patrick is a little nervous, but I keep reminding him of all that we've gone through.. a little cut in his belly will be nothing...

Thank you all for the continued prayers and good thoughts!

  1. wow, school work, PE -- that is about as normal as your life has been in a long time :) Gee, tell Patrick that he shouldn't worry about a little belly surgery, considering what Ryan' belly looks like!! Or maybe that is why he is nervous. but glad he is getting that taken care of, since he has been dealing with the hernia for several months. Seriously -- my prayers are with all of you today at the doctor's offices.
