Day 405 - Hanging in the hospital

Ryan is just hanging out in the hospital for a few days, getting a bit of antibiotics and mostly just making sure that the fistula isn't causing any trouble.  He is so spoiled by his awesome nurses, I'm a little afraid that he won't want to come back home (but not too afraid!).  The pediatric floor upgraded all their rooms with Xbox One devices, so we were able to log in with our user ID, and play all his games.  Needless to say, he's just fine!

I smuggled him in a burger, but I didn't have any Tabasco sauce.  Nurses to the rescue: they ordered him a bottle of Tabasco sauce from the kitchen, and amazingly, they brought a big bottle!  I hope that we can leave it (with his name on it) for Ryan to use next time, as we all know that he can drink that stuff!  He inhaled his fries and was so happy to do so!

We worked through his schoolwork for the day.  He was a bit of a stinker this morning, with a little attitude, but an hour or two of schoolwork cured that right up, and he was pleasant the rest of the day.  I was able to go home for a few hours, and get a bit further in our 'spring cleaning'.  We are now over 1/2 way through the garage, so maybe only another day or two.  Then we can move on to the house.

For dinner, we brought him a personal pizza from Pizza Hut.  It was still warm and toasty and he loved it... ate the whole thing!  I'm so glad that this fistula has not negatively affected his appetite!

We ended the night with a little bit of Despicable Me 3, but Ryan let us head home before we finished it.  He was just fine without us... gosh, what a big boy!  The doctors want us to stay through 8am on Friday, to get one extra dose of the antibiotic.  But hopefully, we will be home soon and have a great weekend!

Thank you all for the continued prayers and good thoughts!
