Day 445 - Clinic, Chemo and Movies
We got up early and headed over to Seattle Childrens for labs, clinic and our spinal tap. Unfortunately, we forgot to stop giving Ryan his blood thinner on Sunday, and the doctors were worried about doing the spinal tap. We took extra labs to check his clotting times, and scheduled the spinal tap for tomorrow instead.
The rest of his labs looked great. ANC is still high (around 1800), so the oncologist wants to up his dose of chemo just a little bit. His platelets are great (around 94) and his chem panel is good. He did lose a little bit of weight over the last month, but not enough to be significant.
Afterwards, Ryan and I took a nap while Patrick and Kathryn went to lunch. Then we headed over to the mall to watch Ant Man and Wasp. Ryan has been looking forward to it for a while. It was so much fun, and even Kathryn (who hasn't seen most of the Marvel movies) thought it was funny!
Our new spinal tap is scheduled for 2pm tomorrow, and it looks like his clotting labs were fine. Then we have GI clinic at 4pm. Plans now are to head back home to Montana after clinic. Depending on how tired we are, we will either drive straight through or stop somewhere to rest and then finish on Wednesday.
Thank you all for the continued prayers and good thoughts!

Ryan lost weight--well of course he is outside exercising!!!
ReplyDeleteYou forgot a medical "procedure" -- stopping the meds---I can't believe it, wow ??
So glad all his numbers are where they should be :)
You folks have a safe trip home, don't push it, even though you have 3 drivers.
