Day 447 - Back home safely
So, Patrick is now a believer in 5-hour energy drinks. After we switched driving around midnight in Coeur d'Alene, we were pretty sure we would need to get a hotel in Missoula, as neither of us was up to driving the remaining 6 hours. But, when we stopped in Missoula for gas, he picked up a 5-hour energy drink (mostly because Lois Hill recommended them)… As I passed out in the back seat with Ryan, Patrick and Kathryn stayed up chatting and singing along to the radio and solving the problems of the universe. We got home just after the sun came up around 6am. Then we all passed out...
I'm pretty sure none of us moved this morning until after noon, but that's okay since we still got to wake up in our own beds, and not worry about driving anymore. Ryan is really happy to be home, especially to be able to play his video games again. Spoiled kid.
Tomorrow, we have a meeting with the Make-A-Wish people, so that's kind of exciting. I'm not sure exactly what Ryan would ask for, but that's why they try to talk directly to the child, rather than asking the parents. :)
Thank you all for the continued prayers and good thoughts!
