Day 470 - But, I want to do my spelling test!
So funny today. We've been really good about doing our school work before Ryan gets to play. He's not happy about it, but he's begun to realize that we are not going to back down. So, this morning began like the last few morning. "But, I want my phone, mom" and "no, no school work". I just kinda laughed and explained that he could go back to bed or he could do his school work.
About 30 minutes later, he comes in and hands me his notebook, with all his spelling words written out. (we do a daily 'test', where I read the words and he spells them). He decided to get the book, and copy all the words himself (which, granted, is so much easier than having to spell them by memory...) I thought it was hysterical. I even told him that if he could write each one 2 more times, I'd let him get away with it today. He was so happy, he did the rest of his school work without any complaint... It's all about the bribery, right?
So, all is good. His belly looks great and he's feeling good... which means it's time for more chemo. We are scheduled for Monday afternoon.
Thank you all for the continued prayers and good thoughts!
